MCPS at City Council Meeting this Wednesday

Good Afternoon Ward 1,

This week we have one topic on our agenda. MCPS will come to our City Council meeting to address questions we have about the Minor Master Plan Amendment with regards to impact on schools. I know that a lot of parents & students are busy and you don't often have time to send me your questions, but I feel confident that this topic is especially important to you busy parents. Everyone please email me or text me quickly, if you don't have time to show up for public comment or via Zoom, to give me your questions so that I can ask them this week at our meeting.

Thank you,

Shana

I think safe, well lit paths to school are important. I take early am walks in the park behind PBES, I often see children and adults emerging from the ‘woods’ through openings on the fences. I assume they are shortcuts from their homes or apartments.

perhaps MMP can include (if it does not already) appropriate new safe sidewalks and stairs to follow the ‘cow paths’

I don’t mean that derogatorily. Many of the streets in Boston follow the Paths that the cows took from the river up the hill. It’s often the most logical common sense route to take. Urban planning doesn’t take those things into account sometimes and so people avoid the straight and narrow sidewalks.

Even the park…
