City Council Meeting–July12th at 6pm (closed) & 7:30pm (public

Good Evening Everyone,

Today I had a really nice time delivering food to residents with our RISE students, Bitanya, Camille, and Qari, and also with Councilmembers Seamens and Gibson. I’m looking forward to a busy week with the RISE Students, my monthly meeting with Acting City Manager Eubanks, a budget subcommittee meeting, a committee and boards subcommittee meeting, and a light City Council Meeting.

6:00 PM–CLOSED SESSION

The City Council will vote to convene in closed session on Wednesday, July 12, at 6:00 PM, to meet with the City’s Labor Attorney to receive legal advice and consider matters related to collective bargaining negotiations with the City’s two unions. The meeting will be closed pursuant to Annotated Code of Maryland, General Provisions Article, §3-305(7) and (9). After the closed session, the Council will reconvene at 7:30 PM for the regular meeting.

Council will hear two presentations from Alexander Freedman on bicycle infrastructure proposals for Takoma Park.

3. Designation of Agent for Service of Process (PDF)

Right now some duties are still legally designated to our previous city manager. This is the process where we give those powers to Acting City Manager Eubanks.
